Tap, at home. This beer is cloudy light golden yellow, with an aroma of wheat, and hints of lemon, coriander, and spice. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Well balanced, just the right touch of spice and not too much hop bitterness or flavor. Very drinkable, a good refreshing beer. FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - SEP 4, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2010 On-tap.
A - Slightly hazy golden yellow color. About average sized creamy, foamy, soapy white head. Just slightly below average retention that settles into a thin foamy layer of lace.
S - A little faint on aroma. Wheaty cracker aroma with just a hint of lemon rind and spiciness. Also just a touch of bready flavor.
T - Similar to the taste with wheaty, cracker taste being strongest. A touch of bready and toasted grain flavors also come in and out. Just faint hints of spice and lemon rind, but not much. Just like the aroma, the taste is just a bit too faint and watery to be great.
M - Light body with a good amount of carbonation. Crisp, fresh feel, with just a touch of a creamy feel on the tongue.
D - Easy to drink, crisp, and refreshing beer to drink. Nice for a warm day, but the faint/watery flavors don’t make me want to go out and grab another.
Notes: On-tap at the brewery. Decent tasting wheat beer, but it is just a little too thin/watery/faint to be great. DietPepsican (1589) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - SEP 3, 2010
Tap at the brewhouse. Poured a hazy yellow with a good sized white head. Spicy wheat aroma with some nice floral hop notes and some cereal grain. Flavor was similar with some zesty citrus notes and lemon grass. Great carbonation for the style with a light enough body to keep wanting another glass.
