UPDATED: MAY 10, 2013 Pours beautiful deep red with off white head. Initial aroma is hoppy and also made me think of pekoe tea. Taste is both bitter and sweet in waves. Re-rated after having from bottle. On tap was much better. Didn’t get any of the on-tap aroma from the bottle pour.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear ruby color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus and piney hops with toffee malts. The taste is toffee malts, earthy notes, caramel, citrus and pine hops. Medium bodied, slight astringent in the finish. Decent

Bottle. Gorgeous garnet in color with a tall, fluffy beige head. Aroma is lovely Simcoe hoppy notes, citrus, spicy hoppiness, caramel, and sweet malt. Taste is spicy hops, citrus zest, light pine, caramel, chewy malt and bready notes. Body is rich and medium-full with a full, creamy carbonation. Finishes with a blast of spicy hops, pine and citrus oils along with chewy caramel, bready malts and soft grains. Damn tasty beer and a nice surprise!

Nice name here. Sample from bomber at Charlotte O-fest. A fruity sweet caramel drink. Pours a dark red color, nice. A little bit of a citrus hop finish. Deep dark body and long lasting.

Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 22 oz bomber. Pours a slightly murky dark orange with a sticky off white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Aroma is overly sweet and full of crystal malt stickiness, some piney notes redeem it somewhat. Flavor is syrupy sweet with plenty of dates and raisins, tons of crystal malt home brew funkiness, some caramel and manufactured citrus. Mouthfeel is artificially sticky. Overall, needs work.

10/9/11. 22oz bottle. Cloudy red pour with a small khaki head that fades and laces a bit. Huge hop character - bitter and earthy, a bit old perhaps, with caramel and alcohol. Very bitter flavor - generically earthy and hoppy with a bit of cardboard, citrus, and caramel. Meh.

Pours a nice clear mahogany with a fairly thick, if not persistent, light tan head. Inviting aroma is malty with a good overtone of apple and cloves and a subtle earthy note. Luscious flavor has a malty core and tones of wood, caramel, fruit (mostly apple), nuts and spice and just a touch of bitterness. Full-bodied smooth texture has a raspy fizz that leaves a nice edgy finish. Long live the king!

Bottle. Upon first crack, this beer has a clean aroma of sweet hops, freshly cut grass and some citrus, notably grapefruit. Pouring an opaque, unfiltered amber color with a thick, frothy tan head, this beer laces nicely throughout the entire pint. This is a very well-balanced beer with a moderately-heavy body and a flavor that starts with a grassy hop flavor that is flanked with notes of butterscotch, caramel and toffee. My only complaint is that it didn’t respond to my body very well; I was a little burpy.
