Smooth and fresh, but not overly complex or full bodied. Very drinkable. A decent session brown. The nuttiness was not as rich as I was expecting. This reminds me of the typical well-made local brewpub’s brown offering: fresh, friendly and quaffable, but nothing too exciting or groundbreaking. ghawener (1608) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - OCT 14, 2014
Bottled: Craft or crafty? CRAFTY. Lots of marketing not much substance. Food Pairing: Nutella! BierMeHoos (644) - Maryland, USA - MAY 17, 2014
Draft at Busboys & Poets. Aroma of malts and nuts, tastes like roasted malts and nuts. Very English'y and I like it. Drjohnrock (831) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Poured from 12 ounce bottle from Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club. Medium dark brown/amber hue, small tan head, nice sweet nutty/malt aroma but flavor is marred by a chemical taste. This is "organic"? If so, gimme some artificial ingredients. MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 24, 2013
Aroma of malts and nuts. Tastes very watered down compared to Peak’s other offerings. Tastes like roasted malts and nuts, not a whole lot of other flavors present which is also unlike their other beers. Not my favorite. Try their Pale Ale, IPA, Summer Session or Coffee/Espresso beers and take a pass on this one.

Bottle; dark brown color with a frothy khaki head. Aroma of must, chalk, caramel, nuts and veggies. Flavor was better, with some roasted and nutty notes. Dry. Berard (639) - Salem, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 5, 2013
Draft. Pours brown with lite white head that dissipates. Lite carbonation with nice nut aroma. Tasty brown ale with nice nut flavors.

12oz brown bottle. Pours a nice red brown colour, clear. Small and thin beige cap, lace rings. Nose has caramel and chocolate malts. Taste has light caramel, dark chocolate. Dry finish with a bit of nutty malt and dark chocolate, and a some roasty iron like mineral notes in the aftertaste. Light bodied with average carbonation. Overall a nice brown ale, simple and drinkable. Maybe it’s cause the fall weather has hit me, I dunno, but really enjoying this one. patricks110 (2556) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 28, 2013
Boring brown with a reddish body, soapy beige head and a nose of light caramel and hops. Medium bodied and mildly toasted cara malts, a hint of citrus and fruity hops. Bland middle with a moderate hop and bad taste left behind. mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Doesn’t seem like a brown ale to me it’s more like an Alt or a red IPA. Sweet malty caramel aroma. Sweet hoppy bready flavor. English personality. Doughy finish.
