3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a bottle. A clear medium brown body with a bone color head. Head had great retention and decent lace. Aroma had a nice balance of mildly sweet caramel malts and a slight roasted quality. A gentle nutty aroma and there was a slightly off putting medicinal aroma. Flavor was well balanced with a nice sweet malt flavors and a mild nutty flavor. No real hops. Although the beer seemed two-dimensional it was still enjoyable. Easy to drink and would make a great session ale.
Pours a root beer color with a thin white head which is gone in an instant......aroma is caramel, tea......taste is touch of caramel, burnt taste, nut shell and a bit thin with a bitter aftertaste. gunnfryd (14886) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2017
KØLF 240217. Brown color with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, malt, hop. Flavor is caramel, malt, hop, bread, nuts. Medium body. OK beer. Tessic (1152) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2016
This nut brown poured just that, nice deep amber colour with a creamy light tan coloured head. Minimal lacing. Scents include light caramel, club soda and a little roast. First swig was quite thin on the mouthfeel, with flavours of very light caramel and bleach? Finish is almost salty with a little hop flavour/bitterness lingering.

Cask at Cask and Vine yesterday.
Somewhat hazy light brown color with a decent sized tan head. Caramel butterscotch and light earthy hops with just a touch of nuttiness. Surprised I hadn’t had this before, its not too bad. VastActiv (7133) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 9, 2016

I am just getting into drinking different styles of beer and moving beyond the mass produced brand names. This was lighter than I expected but this was smooth, easy to drink and had a good taste. As a style, I guess I was expecting a more robust taste from a Nut Brown Ale, but, again, it was good. airrick2003 (872) - Louisiana, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Appearance: pours with a large light tan head, the beer is a very clear and attractive brown color
Aroma: brown sugar, nuts
Taste: has toasty dark malt sweetness, not a strong sweetness but it's there, nutty, possibly brown sugar, grainy finish
Palate: light mouthfeel, average carbonation, nutty aftertaste
Overall: a light and easy drinking brown ale, has a very subtle sweetness and no bitterness to speak of, not bad

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted and produced fair lacing. Light to moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a soft drinkable beer. alexsdad06 (10430) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 21, 2016
12 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear reddish caramel brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a mild nutty character, caramel, some fruity character, a little off note, thin, watery, just not something I would revisit. 12oz bottle, thanks to Paul & Jamie. Shared. Clear red orange brown color. Thin off-white head, some decent ridges and ropes of lace. Strange, kind of funky nose, little skunky. Some caramel, nuttiness in the flavor, hint of milk chocolate. Sort of a bigger rastringent bitterness here, moderate sweet. Medium body. Kind of slick texture, lighter carbonation, mild rough bite to it. Seems like mild infection, not sure though. I poured myself ~3oz of this, that was plenty.
