Dark brown with a thin lid of tan bubbles. Mild caramel along with some toasted and roasted malts. A touch of sour dough. Heavy roasted flavors from the start. Some tar and a hint of medicinal flavors. Fairly thin feel, but not watery. drpimento (3797) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - APR 25, 2017
Aroma’s nice, roasty, bit a malt. Flavor’s on the sweet side, slight bitterness, good finish. Straightforward porter. arkurzynski (2461) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 6, 2016
Black pour. Black olive, roast malt, and a bit of brown sugar. Flavor is ashy roast with more black olive. Decent. crossovert (14006) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2016
355ml bottle. Dark bronw pour, light tan head. Aroma is smoky and roasty. Falvor is sweetish, dry, roasted malt, inoffensive, not bad but not intriguing. That1Guy (2238) - Colorado, USA - MAY 6, 2016
12 oz bottle dated 08APR16. Pours dark brown with a tan head. The smoke I get off the aroma smells like green olives and smoked salmon. Not a big fan of that. Flavor is more mellow of just peaty smoke. Pretty one-note.

A nice looking beer. Clear medium to dark brown with a frothy light brown head. Pleasantly roasty. Nice light smokiness. Solid medium body. Very clean and super drinkable. Its somehow even refreshing, which is less common in most porters. Starts to border on watery perhaps, but it works. Very nice. I like it! bytemesis (9342) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 23, 2014
Tap. Pours clear mahogany, medium beige tan head, dissipates quickly, nice lacing. Aroma is smoky, coffee, burned coffee. Flavor does, quite smoky, burned, light sweet, light bitter, a but of acid. Medium body, tasty. BVery (11390) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUL 23, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at the brewery. Deep clear amber pour with a clingy head. Roasted and smoked malt, some rich chocolate elements, and a touch of coffee in the flavor. Quite good! hopheadbbq (2) - - MAY 9, 2013 does not count
Great Porter. Very good aroma and aftertaste is dead on for a smoked porter. Very drinkable. esjaygee (3906) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 22, 2012
