Pearl Street Thats What I'm Talkin Bout Organic Rolled Oat Stout

Our stout is warming and rich, with a very creamy head and full body. As You can probably tell by the name, this stout not only uses malted barley for it’s flavor, but also is chock full of organic rolled oats, which adds an elemental mouthfeel.

little to no head, looks like coke. medium carb, watery and light, but a nice roasty flavor comes through. not bad but not great

Aroma is Coco, dark malt, and roast. flavor is similar to knows, starts out a little on that sweet side and then finishes a little on the dry side. Body’s both chalky and silky with ok carbonation. Decent finish.

Black brew sitting under an impressive head of tan foam. Roasted malt dominates the smell with both sweet and bitter notes. Chocolate is there and provides most of the bitterness. Chocolate is on the sweet side in the taste. Roasted malt gives the bitter, I taste the oats in the background. Smooth mouthfeel. A nice brew, imho. Thanks Tyler!

Good flavor, but watery and very flat. This bottle also had a moderate metallic flavor from oxidation.

At the end of the day most of the time Organic is a label to get you to buy bad beer- not this time. Enjoyable Stout- great choice now that the weather is cooling off. Small brewery doing something right!

Bottle. Nice aroma. Thick, syrup feel detracts from from the overall quality. Good taste (I’ve become bias toward stouts, porters, nutbrowns, etc.) Not a thirst quenching summer beer, but a nice autumn brew.

2 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom, as part of an 8-beer flight. Consumed on 5-14-14. Labeled as "Pearl Street That’s What I’m Talkin’ ’Bout Rolled Oat Stout." Scents of chocolate, coffee, char, and oatmeal (I am happy to say that I noticed the oatmeal scent before I read the full name of the beer that indicated that it contains oats). Pours an opaque dark brown with tan head. Looks like cola or coffee. Some effervescence. Flavors of char and dark maltiness. Tastes good. Medium body. Forgettable palate effects. I was hoping for more smoothness from the oats. This is a solid, well made, and enjoyable beer, better than I expected, and underrated at this site.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle from the brewery. Black pour - cool looking. Beige head. Toasted oat aroma, more of the same on the taste. Maybe a hint of coffee in here. Palate is a touch thin. Pretty decent brew.

Pours pretty black into glass with little head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee, almost syrupy. Slight carbonation, thins out what would probably be a fuller mouth feel. Very solid, underrated stout!
