4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of my favorites, I’m pretty surprised with the lower reviews. Amber colored ale, creamy smooth taste, nice flavor. Not a giant flavor, but exactly what I want in an amber.
From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty. Dry and slight breadish. Bitter and toasted malty finish. slowrunner77 (12455) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2014
"i wasn’t expecting much from this style, as it has limited potential, but this was one of the better alts i’ve had. very smooth, with a nice balance. pleasantly surprised. too many times, a flagship beer is the breweries weakest offering...not the case here." Draft - Sweet caramel and some light grain. Clear gold with a nice head. Toffee, light grains and a light balanced twig bitterness. Easy drinking. berkshirejohn (6588) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2014
Sample from tap at the brewery. Golden amber with a tight white head; floral aroma; sweet biscuity taste; with a dry finish. Quite pleasant. decaturstevo (6339) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUN 17, 2014
Deep amber pour with creamy off white head and lace. Aroma is light caramel malt and some resiny hops. Caramel malt front with a resiny hop bitter finish, decent bitter too. Light to medium bodied and a tad fizzy.

Overall, this used to be their best beer by far a decade ago..it probably still is but only because all of the beers have fallen way off pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 27, 2012
Not sure how I haven’t rated this one either. Pretty much exactly how the description makes it sound. Nothing fancy, nothing really special. SudsMcDuff (8462) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - AUG 31, 2012
Had on draft @ the Pearl Street brewpub, Buffalo,NY .. . scary name for a beer .. . mild malts .. some berry .. unique upfront bitterness .. a bit muddled .. an ok beer at best .. . . Ah, look, it’s just an old, creaky mirror, y’know, sometimes it sounds a little like it’s sneezing, or coughing, or talking softly.
