4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The appearance is what you would expect, a deep brown to black. Aroma has a very strong chocolate/caramel nose. The taste has caramel notes. Overall very good!!
Brown to umber color with a medium sized head, and decent lace. Nose has a toasted whole grain bread scent, with nuts light caramel and some candi. Sweet start, sweet middle and sweet finish. Caramel, dark toffee, and light brown sugar. They seem to have thrown in some Kitchen Bouquet into there regular lager. 9/13

12 oz bottle. Honkey warned me not to drink it, and I said, "I’m gonna." Brown pour with no head. Sweet, sweet nose. Get some weird roasty notes. Undercarbonated. Very unremarkable and too sweet. rubbishystuff (2537) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 7, 2015
From BandC. Way too sweet. OK when it was still cold but as it warmed up it became rather syrupy. Started roasted maltiness became rather cola like. Serving: Bottle Ratman197 (15632) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 13, 2015
Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit and light coffee. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of caramel, light dried fruit and light coffee with a crisp lingering caramel finish. BVery (11461) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Tap at the Old Fashioned. Very deep amber pour with a foamy head. Malty and kind of an off putting sour fruit note.

12oz bottle pours a murky brown with Amber highlights and a large darker khaki head. Caramel and toffee malt aroma, with some molasses, and a bit nutty. Very sweet caramel and toffee, nugget, dried sugary dark fruit. Interesting, not bad, but too sweet for me. Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottled. Poured deep garnet with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet fruity notes, caramel, and molasses with light detergenty accents.. very sweet. The flavor found similar.. very sweet, with candied darker fruits over a thick bed of molasses.. just a little spice around the edges.. finished sweet and candy-like. Light-medium bodied with a creamy feel through the palate (with a few nice tart accents on the edges).. very drinkable, but too much like candy for me to drink a lot of. arnold931 (1261) - Iowa, USA - AUG 25, 2014

BEST DARK BEER I’VE HAD IN AWHILE. FULL FLAVORED BUT VERY SESSIONABLE BEER. THE ROASTED MALT IS WHAT HIT ME IN THE AROMA AND THE FLAVOR. THE POUR IS DARK BUT HAS A RED TINGE. LABELING IS VERY COOL. I WISH PECATONICA MADE MORE THAN 3 BEERS. -OUT OF A BOTTLE vikingguy (1106) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - MAY 19, 2014
On tap at Jackpot Junction casino. Dark with small brown head. Taste- caught me off guard. Really vinous and syrupy. Flavors of plum, raisin and red wine vinegar. I don't know, maybe I had a bad pour but I didn't like it.
