COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lobo is the native wold of Texas and the Southwest. It was almost wiped out by big ranchers about 100 years ago, like small craft breweries were almost wiped out by Prohibition. Both are coming back! Lobo is from a recipe that dates to 1910. It is made with the four classic ingredients: barley, American hops, yeast, and pure Texas Hill Country water. It is a celebration of beer the way it was made 100 years ago.

travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Bottle. The beer is golden light in color, has a thin white head, and is clear. The smell is grainy, light, some corn, and boring. The taste is much of the same. Drinkable but not interesting.

A good lager. Full golden color. Clear and bubbling. Small white head. Clean light mineral aroma with a faint hop smell. Faint white lacing. The flavor is complete and well rounded while still having a light body. Its a little sweet a little grassy and faintly bitter. Seems reminiscent of good American light beer before mass marketing ruined it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy lemon candy yellow color with a small bubbly white head. Aromas grains, a little sour, with some metallic notes. Flavor is very dry, grainy, some cardboard elements. Very thin and lifeless. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at The Exchange in downtown Corpus Christi. Pretty standard light yellow lager. Nothing unusually off-putting, there’s just not much character to speak of.

SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2013
Pours yellow with frothy white head. Aroma of light grain and subtle earthy hop. Flavor is much the same, light malt sweetness. Light body with high carbonation. Overall, it is what it is.

Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - APR 4, 2015

TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2016
Pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. Cereal grains mostly on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty crisp and clean. Decent lager, nothing too fancy, but very light and drinkable.

For an unappealing style, this was a good beer. Your standard macro lager doesn’t come close. Decent aroma of light malts with a tinge of hops. Clear golden color with fizzy white head. Light weight palate and crisp finish. Hops are detected up front with a straw and slightly spicy finish. A little sweetness as well. Easy to drink with food.
