COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lobo is the native wold of Texas and the Southwest. It was almost wiped out by big ranchers about 100 years ago, like small craft breweries were almost wiped out by Prohibition. Both are coming back! Lobo is from a recipe that dates to 1910. It is made with the four classic ingredients: barley, American hops, yeast, and pure Texas Hill Country water. It is a celebration of beer the way it was made 100 years ago.

Sampled at the Texas Craft Brew fest, my score is based off of some incoherent notes and a 2 oz sample.

Bottle from the DWG Specs. Light pour with a white head. Aroma is sweet and a little grainy. Taste is metallic, sweet, a little grass, and maybe some citrus. Crisp.

It's ok to me, nothing special just a basic decent lager. I wouldn't go out of my way to have one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not bad. Pretty refreshing lager. To me it’s more a light American lager with better flavor. Nothing too crazy but a lot better than the other lagers out there. Grassy, sort of sweet flavor. Aroma is kind of sweet and grassy.

Pretty wimpy, grassy with notes of apple on the nose. Clear, straw colored with a coarse white head. Taste was thin, watery, slight levels of adjunct tasting malt, some mild hop bitterness. Not much here.

travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Bottle. The beer is golden light in color, has a thin white head, and is clear. The smell is grainy, light, some corn, and boring. The taste is much of the same. Drinkable but not interesting.

had higher hopes after really liking the lobo negro; this was just generic beer; maybe a little straw/grass in aroma; much carbonation in taste and just there. nothing bad tasting but nothing positive either.

Out of the bottle because why not. For a macro style lager this wasn't bad. Decently crisp lager. Not anything to run out but if it's at a BBQ go nuts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
