Pours an opaque brownish black from the growler with fluffy tan head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma of nice resinous pine and strawberry from the hops. Taste follows with a nice roasty back end. Really nice balance, clean and easy, solid. BrewBoxer (2665) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 22, 2013

Aroma: The aroma is a nice mix of pine hops and roasted malts, some coffee/chocolate, etc
Appearance: This beer pours a dark brown color with a thin beige head atop it
Flavor: The taste is much the same as the nose, roasted and hoppy with a nice bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a pretty nice mouthfeel, and soft-to-average carbonation
I found this to be a tasty Black IPA. It wasn’t the best thing I tried and the brewery, nor was it the best Black IPA that I’ve tried, but it was a more than decent offering. I have no complaints.
