On draft at Peg’s. Aroma - as if I just stuck my nose in a newly opened bag of great Sumatra beans, huge coffee followed by a little cocoa and roasted malts. Dark black with creamy persistent foam. Taste - huge fresh brewed coffee, roasty malt, the right amount of hops to balance it all out. Light to medium bodied - like a delicious iced coffee for adults. Nice! Great name as well! hopscotch (11048) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Draft... Murky, nearly black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Fantastic retention. Cafe con leche nose - huge mocha here with a lesser note of vanilla. Light to medium-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor furnishes deeply roasted malts and acrid coffee. No residual sugar and fairly thin. Finishes acrid and a touch burnt. Very nice, but could have used a touch higher final gravity. Maybe a bit over-attenuated. burg326 (5479) - Florida, USA - SEP 9, 2012
On draft at Peg’s, poured a dark brown color with aromas of roasted malt, huge coffee, and some light earthy hops. Flavors are huge coffee, light earthy hops, and malt. One of the thinnest coffee beers I’ve had, and light on the palate, extremely drinkable and a real nice surprise at Peg’s.
