This beer is liquid nutella. Smells like the hazelnut and caramel pie that my grandma makes. Aroma is unbelievably hazelnutty, sweet caramel and fudge, bourbon and vanilla - sweet all over the place. Gotta love it. In the mouth it has more roasted notes of chocolate and liquorice, and the barrel aging comes through with vanilla, coconut and alcohol. The hazelnut aroma in this beer is unbelievable. Almost smells like nutella, and the nutella is the most divine smell in the world. This is great! saxo (19327) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2013

Draft at Peg’s. I about crapped myself with this one. Pours a dark black with some viscosity and a little bit of head. The smell of the hazelnuts just took me over. I couldn’t stop smelling it. Tasted of hazelnut, coffee, chocolate, and a little vanilla. OMG, this beer was absolutely amazing!!! TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Draft on tap at Peg’s Cantina (Gulfport, FL). Woot! Pours a rich deep blackish brown pour, dark and ominous, some good haze, some touches of frothy tannish head atop laces ok. Aromas are hazelnut coffee, cocoa, some dryness, and gentle ashy roast. Some toffee, toast, sweetness. Initial is a bit fuller, roasty and coffee, hazelnut, creamy malts, some vanilla, coffee and cream. Toasty, nutty, richer hazelnut. A bit more artificial but great flavors. Cold coffee, espresso, richer roasty earth. Some good flavors. Middle is some rich bitter coffee, roasty, nutty and some creaminess. Backend is gentle spirit, more hazelnut coffee. Rich flavors overall. Toasty, toffee, some ash and roast as we move back. Richer flavors, nutty and hazelnut. Backend is nice, hazelnut flavors, some vanilla, a touch of creaminess. Finish is roasty, dry, coffee. Really damn good. Mellow barrel, the hazelnut influence cuts through the barrel. Really nice, richly flavored beer. newcigarz (42) - Florida, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Draft at Peg’s barrel aged event. Probably the best beer of the day. Deep black color with very little head. Aroma is an intoxicating mix of hazelnuts, coffee, caramel, and sweet cream. Taste is a sweet and silky mix of chocolate, caramel, coffee and hazelnut. Amazing.
