COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA is packed with a blend of US and Southern Hemisphere hops giving a huge pineapple aroma and balancing sweetness to make it one of the juiciest IPA’s around. The heady aromas fill the sinuses and continue to build with each sip. Hops are strong in the flavor as well giving a full consistent hop flavor across the entire palate but without a raking bitterness. A Florida West Coast IPA to be sure, this ale is far more complex than just hops but as with any IPA the malt and sweetness play a supporting role to bring the carefully selected hop blends to their maximum potential.

Great, slightly bitter but not much so, most bitterness comes in a lingering aftertaste. Primarily it is sweet and citrusy.

Draft at the cantina. Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow color with a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. The glass is left coated with sheets of soapy lace. Slightly earthy aroma with more of a citrus fruit presence than a piney/grassy character.  Subtle bread and biscuity malt along with lemon peel, grapefruit and pineapple.  Not as resinous or earthy as I expected for the style. Medium bodied with a slight creamy texture.  Subtle dry bitterness nicely countered by citrus and tropical fruit notes.  Some apple, banana, lemon, pineapple and mango followed by bready yeast and biscuity pale malts.  Well balanced but not an aggressive hop bomb.  Lots of sweetness but one dimensional and lacking the sticky, dry and bitter flavors that I look for.  It is light and easy to drink but not too complex or interesting.

Draft shared with Linh at Peg’s during the Berliner Bash 2012. Pours an orange body with nice white head and lacing. Aroma is fresh pine and citric hops. Mouthfeel is refreshing with superb notes of dry citrus fruits, bitter grapefruit and pine.

Draft at Peg’s during the Berliner Bash. Served in a Peg’s pint glass. Pours a nice golden-orange color with a good white head and some nice lacing. The nose brings plenty of very fresh hops. This smells like it was just dry-hopped, and has almost a fresh-hop character. Nice citrus and a touch of pine. Flavor is nice and bitter with a crisp, dry finish. Tropical notes are there underneath citrus and pine. Really quite nice.

Tap at Peg’s. Hazy orange amber pour with rocky off-white foam. Webby lace. Nose is toffee, tree bark, orange peel. Taste is super bitter, very nutty, heavier body. Mildly astringent. Quite woody. A little too thick and alpha hop aggressive. Solid IPA definitely, just not my style.

Darft at the source. Cloudy golden color, thick white head. Nice floral aroma with some citrus and pine. Very aggressive and bitter taste.

Draft: Poured a hazy orange with a white colored head. Aroma was a nice piney hop. Taste was that of an evergreen pine with nice bitter side.

Gold-amber with good, creamy, white head / Soapy nose of citrus, weed, and pine / Medium body, modest bite, with good, smooth balance and finish / Elegant, balanced flavors of cut pine, orange, weed, and grapefruit / Terrific.

Hazy tan. Thin head. Woody, weedy aroma. Creamy body with very rich hops. Some clean, slightly biscuity malt backdrop. Good, with long, lingering bitterness. Really nice IPA.

Amber pour, sticky whitish head. So juicy and rich with piney hops. Flavor is just awesome. Pine trees, resinous heaven with a great malt backbone. Great, just great!
