Pegs jelly donut. Growler from Adam....pours a semi-cloudy pale hazy yellow with a RBI film of white head... Aroma of funk, socks, and pretty funky with lemony accents...Huge acidic and tart flavors akin to warhead like intensity without the bite. Huge lemon bent that dominates almost similar to a lemon chase after a tequila shot. Very little raspberry...lots of flavor packed in such a ’small’ brew. nicely done. 8/3/8/4/16

Cloudy gold pour. Aroma is sour and fruity. Citrus, and warheads. Flavor...wow what a punch for 3.9%. Sour has hell, fruity, full flavored. I taste the berries and citrus with a huge and delicious sour attack on my tongue. Well done.(had at RBWG)

Thanks to Flssmrbrewalum for sharing this at DLD. Pours hazy golden with very small head. Aroma was very citrusy and tart. Flavor was very tart and sour with lots of lime and citrus. Powerful little brew. Thanks Adam.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2010 32 oz growler courtesy of fishingnet and I shared this puppy at DLD for the RBers. Thanks a bunch! Pours a hazy murky golden straw, a small whitish bubbly head that dies to some bubbles. Aromas are sour lemon and lime, acidic, a touch of flaked wheat, a bit funky, some bread dough, a faint raspberry shines through but it really dies out. Initial is sour, lemon and lime, flaked wheat, bread dough, spritzy, sour tartness rolls over the palate, a touch of the lime and raspberry, a bit of mellow fruit, actually comes through a bit, but sour lemons and limes, acidity, some flaked bread, and a good lactic sourness coats the palate. Tasty, a nice drinkable sour that puckers you up and leaves you wanting more. Amazing flavor for a 3.9 ABV Berliner.. perhaps more lambic-esque than anticipated with it’s heavy lactic acidity.

32oz growler at DLD. Poured hazy pale golden with basically zero head sticking around. The aroma picked up lemon, lime, and salt with a non-descript pale backing.. sour and refreshing with a hint of berries around. The flavor was very, very sour with lime leading.. sweeter berry jam surrounded.. sour, refreshing finish with a touch of stickiness. Engaging and puckering on the palate with a light, airy feel (save for the aforementioned touch of stickiness).. nice change of pace.

Highly anticipated. Wow is that lactic... not much else to say about this =p love the citrus quality of it, the lime is quite cool. Smells exceptionally lactic. Flavor is quite astringent, strong lime and lactic, super super sour. My question on this is, is this a natural Berliner? Probably not....

Sampled at DLD 2010. Big, sour aroma. Limes and some graininess. Flavor is very, very sour. Almost tongue numbingly so. Really, really good though. One of the best Berliner Weisse’s I’ve ever had. Slick palate. Glad I got to try it.

Growler @ Miami Fandango ’10 gathering. Pours hazy golden straw, no head. Aroma sour note, keylime goodness and a touch of spices. Flavors, light body and complex sour bomb with tons of keylime lemon sourness. The raspberry is mild and yet noticeable adding the prickly tartness of raspberries. Overall mouthfeel keeps a corn like presence with effervescent finish. This one just gets better regardless of the first astringent shock of the first sip.

Growler. This is what a berliner weisse needs to be. Pours pale pink, with a nice frothy head. Nose has tons of tart grainy elements with big fruit influence from the raspberry and a bit of astringency and rind come through from the limes. Flavor is out of this world, so sour and so damn balanced with the fruit. The raspberry is noticed first as it lends a semi-sweet hand to the affairs, and the lime is so awesome in the finish. Intensely drinkable, intensely sour, and just an amazing amazing beer.
