Big thanks to DocJitu (Dennis) for this bottle! Pours pitch black, one-finger bubbly mocha head that fades to a ring with lacing abound. Very oily in the glass, plenty of legs. Aroma of rum upfront, chocolate and vanilla mingle with toasted nut and fruity esters. Taste is not as hot as the nose would suggest. Silky/velvety mouthfeel carries a nice dark fruit sweetness, molasses, chocolate and vanilla hints for a good while. Clinging to my palate and masking the rum character until the very end. Nice body to this, nice carbonation, just a really nice beer!

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a very dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong rum, cocoa, dark chocolate, wood. Slick mouthfeel with a light wood, dark chocolate, very sweet, lingering dry finish, very nice.

Clugs out of the bottle like what pours out of a 1983 Chevette thats never had an oil change after wrenching off the drain plug. A beautiful red-brown head forms, but unfortunately falls way too quickly. So much richness in the nose. Dark roasted grain, sweet chocolate and vanilla, a touch of tobacco, coconut. Just a fade of smokiness. Big, thick, chewy mouthfeel. Chocolate, prune, Amish Bread, vanilla, and coconut flavors. Just a fade of alcohol comes forward toward the finish. Truly legendary.

Bottle thanks to Beau at the meatball tasting. Pours like it should. Nose is chock full of vanilla sweetness and mild spice before you are enveloped by dark fruits, brown sugar and buttery fudge. The taste upfront is dominated by milk chocolate and vanilla with loads of stewed sultana and raisins. A nice currant undertone goes throughout with mild spice and Christmas cake fruitiness and depth. Creamy and balanced for such a big beer. World class
