Bar, Copenhagen. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is sweet alcohol, malts, liquorice, ripe fruits and some mild rum notes. Flavour is rum, sweet liquorice, some sweet malts with mild toasted and toffeeish notes. Not as good as Rare DOS, as the alcohol and sweetness are a bit more offensive here.

THE stout tasting Pt1. Thank you Jack for hauling this one back! Opaque dark brown beer. Little tan head. Smooth viscous palate. Smooth chocolatey malt. rich. A little alchol zing but not too warm. Develops dark fruits and the you get a hint of the rum. Pinch of spice. Lovely rich and smooth Impy.
Growler shared at The Stout Tasting Part I, London - enormous thanks to Jack for procuring this beer. Pours black-brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Some dark fruits in the nose, licorice, dark chocolate. Big sweet flavor with rich dark fruits, raisins, sweet dark bread, silky chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with lusty dark fruits, figs, dark chocolate, raisins, brownies. Great balance, super drinkable. Seriously, the beer is just outrageously good overall. Outstanding.
