(Bottle 25 cl) Pretty, clear amber colour with a fine, dense, creamy cappuchino-like head. Delicate, spicy and quite perfumy nose. Lightly sweet, caramel-like malt character. Very smooth with a short, dry lightly hoppy palate. 020705

On tap at L’Impro, Toulouse. This was labelled as Pelforth de Printemps, but I believe it’s the same beer. Rosy hued amber beer, with no head. Doesn’t look very fizzy. Rather like an English Golden beer, I thought. Bright, breezy, with a distinct orange and peach aspect. Smooth, pretty thin and rather short-lived, but refreshing enough and pleasant, though slight.

Bottle. Sweet dried apple aroma. Amber color with small head. Sweet corn syrup and malt flavor. A bit too sweet for me.

Bottle. Amber with small head. Malt, caramel, prunes, hoppy edge , dry, pleasent enough.

Bottle. Fruity/flowery aroma. Flavour is also fruity with some dried fruit, apricot. OK bitter aftertaste. Very nice.

Like the brune I was impressed with this. A good hit of caramel and malt with a nice balance. Once again great value by the 6-pack everywhere that ber can be acquired.

Bottle. A fairly pleasant malty beer. Irn Bru caramel tones with the faintest hint of licorice - perhaps from roasted malts. Difficult to pick up on that extra hop flower extract that’s mentioned on the bottle. The malt is the main thing. Interesting flavours start to become more defined - and some may be hop influenced: ginger bread, short-cake, Terry’s chocolate orange.... Nice. Even the carbonation is soft and attractive. I liked this.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2005 Pours a tall off-white head on a clear orange brown body. Mild malty and grassy aroma. Sweet malty flavor at first with some bitter hops in the end. Notes of flowers and grass. Refreshing and nice.

Amber coloured. Rather weak aroma with some malty notes. Notes of tea in the flavour. Rather thin.

An amber beer with no head. Both the flavor and aroma is dry and hoppy, though the flavor also contains malty notes.
