Sample, on tap at the brewpub at 5.5% as "Bock ’15". Clear, dark brownish amber with a thin, creamy, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of caramel, chocolate and nuts. Sweetish-malty, roasty taste of caramel, nuts, coffee and some chocolate, followed by a short, slightly bitter, roasty finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

(Pelgrim Bockbier) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 6% Deep mahogany brown colour on the body with nice ruby shades where light crosses it. Almost two full fingers of thick, tan head on top, with very good retention. Aroma mostly of red fruits, light caramel, light marmalade, red grapes, red wine. Nice taste, moderate sweet, with red fruits, light chocolate, vinous notes. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Very good.

On tap at Arendsnest. Nice deep copper brown pour with foamy straw head. Aroma is nice, good fruitiness, really nutty, clean, light toasty notes. Taste is sweet, light caramel, light bready notes with light toasted bitterness. Palate is full bodied with good carbonation, good drinkability. Pretty straightforward but well done.

330ml bottle. Clear, reddish brown colour with average to huge, frothy, foamy, fairly lasting, barely lacing, off-white to beige head. Minimally fruity, yeasty aroma, hints of red berries and their parings, a touch of rubber boots. Taste is dry, chalky, minimally fruity, hints of red berries; lively carbonation. Significant out of line.
