Draft at Growler Guys. The pour is nearly black with a persistent ring of creamy brown head. Huge aroma is rich with chocolate and coconut, very sweet and decadent with nice compliment from the barrel treatment. Reminds me a lot of an Almond Joy and the older batches of Full Sail’s BA Black Gold. Big flavors of chocolate, bourbon barrel, vanilla, and roast. More Almond Joy characteristics. This is an amazing beer full of wonderful flavors. Very glad to have had this. tricksta_p (4747) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2017

Pours a deep opaque black color with a dark tan head. Excellent coconut vanilla and caramel Bourbon booze aroma. Nice roast chocolatey with a light boozy edge and pronounced vanilla coconut and caramel Bourbon notes. Overall quite nice, the Bourbon complements without overpowering the stout.
Notes: on tap at Toronado SF, June ’17. BuckeyeBoy (7896) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 12, 2017

Bottle from uptown. Pours a dark black color with a large brown creamy head. A big sweet nose; roast, chocolate, vanilla, whiskey. The flavor is vanilla, chocolate, ash, whiskey, very smooth. Very big but smooth. Great beer. luttonm (6482) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2017
Brouwer’s, Seattle. Soapy ring foam, eggshell color. Heavy dark brown. Spicy alcohol nose. Interesting sweet stout base with a deep barrel over top. No vanilla, more of a musky wood. Lots of coffee and roast bitterness. Boozy finish. Fine but inelegant. This probably will benefit from time. ACHops (1594) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2017
On tap @ Brouwer’s. Pours deep blackish brown with thin oily dark mocha head. Aroma is heavily roasty dark malt, sweet dark chocolate. Taste is big bitter roasted malt, heavy umami flavor, brown sugar, soy sauce, some French roast coffee. Barrel char is dominant and lingers bitter through the finish. Not much whiskey or oaky notes though. Not bad, just less than I was expecting from this.
