[At Stockholm Beer Festival] A hazy amber beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of brewmash, barn yard, and straw. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of straw, and hops. anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2008
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with hints of caramel. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2005
Bottled. Brownish/orange colour with small beige head. Rotten fuit in aroma along with sugary hints. Sweetish sour apple, mango and malt in flavour. A bit hops in finish. Quite pleasant, even though it has the "rotten fruit" almost all the way through. omhper (25161) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2005
Bottled. Brownish orange. Swaty peach aroma. Sweet and sulphury with notes of strawberries as well as an unfortunate touch of methane. Medium bodied with clean hard mouthfeel. The anaerobic mud character along with the hard mouthfeel kills this beer. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2005
(Stockholm Beer Festival 2005) Amber, offwhite head. Quite weak aroma with nutty and floral notes. Very weak flavor, some malt and some bubblegum. Boring...

On tap at Pelican Pub and Brewery, Pacific City, OR. Amber with beige head. Candy sugar and malt aroma. Malty in mouth. Bit of herb maybe. Very clean. Bit of herby/heather. Short tingly finish. mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 18, 2010
22 oz. bottle, pours a dark copper. Aroma of caramel malts and butterscotch. Similar, but weak flavour. Quite disappointed with this one. Oakes (17699) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2002
Slightly watery; touch of smoke; tinny notes amidst the malt, which is accurately described in the description as ’mild’. TBone (17583) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2005
Bottled, alc. 5.0%brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 16, 2011
Hazy nutty brown, small creamy off-white head. Sticky glue-like harsh aroma. Unbalanced yeasty sticky malty flavors, medium-bodied. Some sweetness underlying. Not my cup of tea.
A: The beer pours an opaque amber color with a finger of khaki colored head.
S: Smells watery, but bad. A little bit of caramel and toffee, quite a bit of grass, too. Just a bit of yeast, maybe some hints of fruit. Definitely a bit of cooked vegetable aroma.
T: Tastes better than it smells, luckily. Sweet caramel with a light creaminess. Toasted bread and some hints of yeast. A very light fruitiness, maybe some hop notes, too.
M: Light to medium in body with medium carbonation.
O: So far I’ve been disappointed with Pelican beers that aren’t barleywines.
