Bomber; Big old scent, Big old brute; Thick, sticky, and unfiltered; 14% but well aged and tame, not boozy; characteristic whiskey aura, date, fig, leathery caramel; Don't be shy folks, but brace yourselves just the same; sweet and clingy...long, smooth, near-cloying finish; in short - yummmm. Holy shit. Bottle shared with Gus while watching soccer. Aroma is caramel, bourbon, barrel, sweet treats, some dark fruit, really really nice. Appearance is brown, light tan head, mostly clear. Taste is caramel, bourbon, barrel, toffee, malt, dark fruit, great. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy body, light carbonation, balanced caramel bourbon barrel dark fruit aftertaste. 2015 edition. long anticipated bottle, kept myself since then. First beer of 2018 seemed like the right occasion to finally open it up ! Pours very dark redbrown, nearly black. Decent off-white head, medium stability. Smell is chewy, wood, mild toasty, vanilla, high on wood, minor bourbon notes. Very creamy. Sweet, toffee maltyness. very rich with not much noticable booze ( impressive, at 14 ABV ) Taste is full, creamy, vanilla, toffee, mild roasty, very oaky, mild bourbon, sweet, intense, medium-thick body with medium carbo. Ends a bit boozy , but nowhere near the 14 % anticipation. very well made without going to far away from what the style prescribes.

Bottle thanks to Niels. Pours dark brown with a Brown head. Aroma of dark sweet malts, caramel. Butterscotch, sweet bourbon and ripe sweet fruits. Textbook BA-ES-BW. On tap @ Toronado Seattle. Pours super dark inky thick black with thin creamy mocha head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate, soy sauce umami notes, sweet boozy flavor that lingers through the back. Taste is super thick sticky mouthfeel, rich roasty toffee malt, big oaky boozy scotch barrel notes on the back.
