Just as red lanterns were once used to guide fishing boats to home base at the end of the day during foggy winter weather, our Red Lantern IPA is the perfect way to end your winter day. Born from our brewer’s love of hops and craving for a deep caramel backbone, the rich red color and medium body delivers just the right balance. Copious amounts of El Dorado hops give Red Lantern a clean hoppy finish.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2014 Serving: from tap at Filiberto’s Italian Restaurant. Aroma: light citrus and pine hop. Appearance: average-sized, creamy, off-white, initial head with very good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter, piney initial flavor and lightly bitter, citrusy finish with long duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: excellent. Very good aroma and flavor to match. Interesting and easy to drink.

BOTTLE. (B.O. 15/01/15). Cloudy red pour with big foamy white head.. Old musky nose, sweet candy & hops.. Sweet malt body, pink musk sticks in the middle going to bitter hop finish.. Held up reasonably well consider the age.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

Bottle. Copper coloured, finger width of cream head. Aroma of Passionfruit, mango and stone fruits with a background of caramel. Rich, caramel back notes dominated by a spicy, grapefruit and grassy hop. Quite bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Alluring citrus aroma in a copper pour. Surprisingly laid back flavor belies the strength. Nice brew - but nothing special in the end.

Really enjoying the beers from this brewer right now and this one’s no exception. At just on chilled and into a snifter. Soft pffft as the cap releases is followed by a waft of fragrant, fruity perfume. In the glass it settles a fiery copper with a lasting inch of off-white, rocky foam that daubs a thick lace. Looks the dogs bollocks. Along with the perfume is a musk of candy, toffee, pronounced grapefruit and strawberries with an underlying note of pine resin. Bitter as the gates of hell but balanced out by a hugely pungent perfume that flows up into the olfactories. Body is medium-light with a soft spritziness to the front and oiliness to the finish. Malt has a caramel and toasty flavour melded with notes of plum and raspberry. Lengthy and potent but as quaffable as they come. This is an interesting IPA. loved it!!! From a 355ml bottle on 29/8/2015. Pours a clear dark golden/red with a small to medium head. The aroma features caramel and lots of orange. Take a sip and your presented with caramel and toasty malt, more orange and a touch of apricot. The hops are full on, sticky, lingering and resiny, and provide a great contrast to the malt and sweet fruit. Medium to full body with average carbonation. A really nice, well put together red IPA.

080815, poured a really strong copper colour with a light tan head that was full. Good balance of hops and malt in the aroma, not too much of either. Full bodied and packed with flavour.

(En fût sur place à Pacific City): Des céréales assouplies, machable dans une eau dure juteuse qui procure une amertume persistante.
