3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at Pelican Pub. Very citrusy and fruity hop profile, with little bitterness on the finish.
Rich, super hazy golden and bright peach coloured body with a rich, two centimetre tall pure tan head. Aroma of earthy and english hops with some grain and malt perhaps more noticeable than the hops Light to Medium-bodied; Strong lemon and light pine hop notes show up first with some subdued honey and earthy malt elements as well, tucked into some grain and herbal flavours near the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of earth, some light hops and some caramelised sugars, good, but not great. Overall, a decent IPA that shows more of an English feel than anything else, but decent and nice to try, even here in Hawaii! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from the Kona Wine Market in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii [Island], Hawaii on 10-August-2016 for US$6,30 sampled in my hotel/condo on 12-August-2016 in Kona, Hawaii [Island]. drsordr (2930) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 17, 2016
Draft to taster at source in Cannon Beach pour avg gold with thin white head. Nose dank hop light soap, pine. Taste moderate bitter bite up front, then pine and dank. Moderate bitter through the finish. M_Sack (794) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 13, 2016
Bottle. Copper with orange tinges and frothy off white head. Subtle aromas of earthy hops, a touch of citrus blossom and a deep biscuit malt base. Upfront bitterness of earthy hops, with elements of grapefruit and resin. Well integrated sweet biscuity malt, but the dry, earthy bitterness continues throughout the beer right to the end. I love the English style of IPA. I wish more brewers would take it on.

Tap at Brewer’s Haven. Pours a flat copper color, fairly clear, lots of small bubbles, and a thin creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty. Some citrus, but its faint. Lightly bitter up front, a little more of the malty sweetness in the tail. Floral and tropical fruit notes, light clean finish. Some hints of honey. Good stuff. theswiftsa (124) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 1, 2015
Pours a slightly cloudy Amber. Aroma of pine and a hint of biscuit. Taste is pine, melting into a biscuity, marmalade malty finish. Medium bitterness. A well balanced English IPA. IslandHaole (1301) - Misawa, JAPAN - SEP 20, 2015
Nice floral/spicy hop scents, not the overwhelming pine/citrus of NW Cascade hops, much more subtle. Dark golden with a beige head that leaves nice lacing. Crisp and lightly floral, sweetness balances nice, easy drinking for sure. Nice to know I’m helping an endangered species by drinking good beer. mcberko (19886) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 31, 2015
On tap at Pelican in Tillamook, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes piney English hops and biscuity notes. Flavour is similar, with piney English hops, toasted crackery malt and a slight herbal hop tinge. Clean and balanced. Solid English IPA. simonblaine (593) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 12, 2015
Had as part of a flight, enjoyed it, but the glass had that sterilized dishwasher taste which affected flavour and nose.
