Nitro draft to taster
Consummation: Deeply bitter coffee and chocolate
Adjunct: Aroma of caramel, burnt malt, and blackberry; dark brown with a creamy tan head; classic stout Hanuta06 (469) - Washington, USA - JUL 3, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2017 Serving: from nitro tap at Pelican Brewing and Flying Squirrel Pizza.
Aroma: light cocoa.
Appearance: average-sized, creamy, light-brown, initial head with very good lacing and fully lasting longevity. Clear, cola-brown body.
Taste: moderately sweet initial flavor and lightly acidic and roasty finish with long duration.
Palate: full body, syrupy texture and flat carbonation.
Overall: lasting flavor that is interesting to the last gulp. slowrunner77 (12037) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 10, 2016
Heavily roasted and showing at least all of it’s 7% abv. Drinks big, for better or worse. There was an offness to the bottle that I can’t quite name - ever so slight astringency perhaps? - that didn’t belong. Good, but I think it can be better. Hope to try on tap one day.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2016 22-ounce bottle poured into a pint glass. Very intense aroma of roasted coffee, strong flavors of the same as well. Really good, but so thick it is not something that could be considered easy to drink. Excellent on its own, but too filling to have with a meal. Thanks for the bottle, Stuart! I’m almost embarrassed to say that it took me forever to get around to finally opening this thing. Deep rich color produced a nice coffee with creme head. Classic stout aromas of roasted coffee and toast. Rich, dark flavors with an appropriate amount of bitterness. If anyone has had it on nitrogen I love to hear your thoughts. Shared bottle. Pours almost black with a nice tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and malt. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, and a bit of smoke. Very good.
