COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Midnight black color and rich dark-roasted aroma. Specially blended hops combine with flaked unmalted barley to give this brew a full body and a dense creamy head. All elements combine in a solid, lingering finish.

Black with quickly dissipating milkshake head. Nose of coconut, confectioners sugar, nougat. Medium heavy body, with good carbonation. Dry up front sweet in back. Notes of smoke, lactose, milk chocolate, somewhat roasty. Well built, very enjoyable.

Draft @ Beer Temple, 5 oz sample. Black color. Big dense beige head with pretty good retention and lacing. Aroma’s of roasted grain. Retronasal there is light sweetness and some red fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet’n’bitter, light fruit and roast. Medium bodied. Finishes with firm roast and moderate bitterness, which is actually the best part of the beer.

Benzai (15794) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 15, 2017
Bottle shared with Inoven. Opaque black color, average to decent sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, a bit dry, lightly sweetish initially but a bit earthy and lightly roasty. Decent body and carbonation. Decent.

Bottled 355ml (Beer Republic)
Opaque colour, small steady brownish head. Aroma has coffee and roasted malts. Medium-bodied. Roasted and coffeish. Nice taste but aftertaste is a bit empty. Maybe not so fresh bottle that some of hops have died outl

Many thanks to Greg for this brew!
