500ml bottle @ Yr Hen Orsaf, Aberystwyth. Pours black with nice tan head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malts. Taste is good, well-balanced coffee & roasted malts. A real hearty, full-flavoured stout this, loved every sip of it.

Black with a thin tan head. Coffee aroma and lot of coffee and chocolate flavour. After a couple of disappointing Pen-lon brews, this was much better. Would be great but let down slightly by being over carbonated and a touch watery.

TEJA (3257) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 20, 2012
Bottle at Björn, thanks. No head. Coca-cola color. Soth and black roasted malt aroma. Huge roasted malt taste and taste of meat broth! Medium bitterness that is a bit astringent.

omhper (25742) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 30, 2012
Bottled. Very dark brown. Cocoa aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Flavours of coffee and salty cocoa. Mid bitter finish. Pleasant easy going stout.

Ungstrup (38413) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2010
Bottled. An almost opaque black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of vegetables, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light.

(bottled conditioned)Black as shit with lefeless beige top. This is a slick stout. Pure chocolate characters. Dark fruit like black cherries you find forest gatteo. Subtle roastiness.some burnt toast .I could sink loads of this.

downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2009
Bottle from Bacchus, Crickhowell. Dark, opaque brown with a slight oil slick for a head. Aroma of malty grains, dark chocolate and liquorice. Full, slightly vinous mouth feel. Flavour of chocolate, some roast malts, a hint of sourness and dry finish. Good stuff.

johndoughty (5543) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2009

Bottle shared by gethinbeer. Deep black beer with a thin white head. Aroma is loaded with rich cocoaish/chocolate. A light wheaty spiciness lies behind this. Soft earthy accent on the back. There is a touch of nuttiness in the malts as well. Fairly low roastiness, but there is a lot of chocolate and some berryish fruitiness. Quite a lovely simple stout.
