COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with 2 row caramel and euro-pils malts to create a rich amber color and medium body. Chinook hops from the Pacific Northwest provide fragrant hop aroma and are balanced with Columbus and German Perle hops in the finish to create a flavor that is unique to Allegheny Pale Ale.

12 oz bottle. A darker looking pale ale. A little "beefier" - more filling than most pale ales. Not at all watery. I think that the reviewers have been rating this a little low by the look of their scores. This is not a run of the mill pale ale. A nice caramel flavor with euro-pils malts to create a rich amber look. A foamy head with nice lacing. A good looking beer.

355ml bottle. A crappy pale ale, watery and thin in flavor, hint of citrus, some stale malt.

This is on the mild side for the style but it is pretty tasty. It’s cloudy orange w/ a long lived white head. It smells of citrus, pine and mango and has a nice juicy consistency with mild carbonation. The best beers of this style really have a much more vibrant fruity hop nose to them and I could deal w/ a bit more bitterness in the finish but this isn’t bad overall.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Thus is a nice slightly cloudy copper colored beer. It has a small white head and a nice hippy aroma. A good pale ale

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a small fizzy white head. It smells just lightly hoppy with some light floral notes over a slightly sweet caramel malt base. The flavor is a bit thin and weak, minimal leafy hops, light bitterness, fairly thin caramel malt base. Not quite the malt bill that does it for me, it comes across as a bit sweet, with a slightly husky note towards the finish. Lighter bodied but still a bit clingy on the finish with fizzy carbonation. Overall, a little bland and thin, even for an APA.

Bottle. Dark straw pour with off-white head. Nose is corn flakey pale malt, not much else, Tastes of pale malt, mild hops, and a watery finish.

Crisp and refreshing. Pleasant hop aroma and dry bitterness. Almost a pilsner-like quality to this one.

boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a medium sized white head. The aroma smells like a biscuity lager. The taste is biscuit, dry, light grain, almost no hop. This blows, honestly.

jjgmd (2181) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a small wispy head. Nose is grainy and somewhat malty. A bitter grainy taste without much in the flavor department. Finish is bitter and ends rather boringly. Quaff Score 6 / 10
