The good folks at Sharp Edge Creekhouse had a draught of this little beauty. Let’s make a little critique sandwich. First, I liked the smell, the chocolate, roasted flavors, and the balance. But, it came off as a thin beer, almost like a chocolate porter instead. Again, a solid beer that’s most noticeable quality was in the moderation of strong flavors because I don’t actually want a beer cut with chocolate milk, or a chocolate nib candy bar in my beer - I want a beer.
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin rim of tan foamy head. Speckled lace.
The aroma had sweet and dark chocolate with a little bit of smoke/ash and a light earthy hoppiness at the end.
The flavor was semi-sweet with some of the bitterness of the dark chocolate coming out more as it warmed. Light aftertaste of the milk and dark chocolate playing with the smoke. Same as in the finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a steady sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine as well.
Overall, for a sweet stout, it’s a bit crushable I’d say. jsporrer (982) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2016
Poured from a bottle. Very dark brown to black with a thin tan ring. Light carbonation with some lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate with a hint of smoky wood. Medium body, kinda thin for a stout. The chocolate flavor is very different. Not milk, not bittersweet dark and not cocoa. Very earthy with woody notes. Not bad. Just not what I expected. I don't hate it but I don't really like it either.

Nice aroma thick with cherries and chocolate. Black red color. A little tart and chocolate. Some chalky feel. Sweet but not syrupy. Tap. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2015
Big sweet stout that is dark but has a nice head or lacing. Great chocolate taste with a little roast along with the mounds of chocolate. weihenweizen (3751) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAY 4, 2015
Refrigerated 12oz. Brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with very small light brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, medium body, lower carbonation, and little small bubble lacing. Taste is milk chocolate. Back to back with Terrapin Liquid Bliss, I prefer Liquid Bliss.

Very dark brown with a small tan head.
Chocolate fudge, cocoa, vanilla aroma.
Sweet chocolate malt, vanilla flavour.
Very tasty...though it comes across with BIG powdered chocolate attitude...
A little artificial, but pretty good, anyway. BeerdedDave (1678) - Beckley, USA - APR 27, 2015

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black liquid. Bubbly tan head. Cocoa Puff malty nose with roasty notes. Slight sweet and tart chocolate malt flavor. Notes of caramel and herbal hops. Bittersweet chocolate finish. Underdogs88 (325) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 20, 2015
Strong chocolate character on the nose. Appearance is a very dark brown with a small tan head. Flavor tastes like a chocolate wafer with a mild acidic bite on the backend. Mouthfeel is medium high with medium low carbonation. Overall, this beer is ok. The chocolate is there, but it tastes one dimensional.
