Yellow color and an IPA aroma fer shure. Keg left over from the beer tasating week. Some slight b/o in there. Big jolt of IPA up front. Probably not as bitter as i was expecting. Not sure about the mandarine, can’t sense it. Somewhat lacking in any fruity attributes. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2014
This one poured a bright orange color with a white head. Aroma was of oranges, grain, and diacetyle. Flavor was buttery and orangey and not much else, bitter hops too but not much flavor. Pretty disappointing. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 2, 2014
On tap at Twisted Jimmy’s. Grassy hops, bit of neutral fruit and some orange. Sweet pale malt and neutral sweetness. Mild but distinct mandarin orange aroma. Hazy golden dark amber with lacing creamy off-white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with mild caramel sweetness and neutral fruity character (weak). Small hint of mandarin orange - fruit is not the focus on this beer. Tons of bitterness, both from the hops and a harsh fruit-rind bitter quality, presumably from mandarin or other orange peel. Big hoppy bitter finish and chalky astringent bitter after.
