Bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells lightly citrussy with some sweet malt. Tastes light and dry with a peppery splash on the finish. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2011
draft at brewery, classic German style Dortmunder. Golden pour, small white head, good CO2, lively, lacing throughout the drink. Medium bodied, clean and crisp tasting, hints of fruits/citrus, well-balanced. Light on hop flavoring, clean finish. Not sure why the low ratings on this one? 12 oz bottle. Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of pale barley malt and light breadiness. A soft floral hop aroma as well. Lightly floral flavour with a light sweetness. Very clean and softly bready. Light toast. Nice refreshing brew. ndfreak77 (126) - USA - SEP 14, 2007
Very mild flavor with absolutely zero aftertaste. Very refreshing on a warm day. Well carbonated with a touch of sweetness. I’d like to try this in a frosted mug from a tap. Braudog (6763) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 6, 2007
Bottle: Apt name for this yellow-gold beer with a thin wisp of stickiness across the top. The aroma is crisp but starchy and somewhat corny. Drinks with a Germanic hoppy sting, but primarily a grassy, malty beer. Pretty decent brew. (#3237, 12/6/2007)

Good authentic German Helles, it delivers as a well made lager. Crisp, grassy aroma that is lightly sweetened and backed by fresh noble hops. Clear golden, straw yellow pour with a fluffy, bright white head and thick lacing. Mouth feel is airy and crisp. Very fresh with a nice hop bitterness. Grainy, pale malt, light bodied. Peppery-grassy hops, fairly prominent in the flavor. Great summer quencher, an everyday lager. Radek Kliber (7369) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - FEB 28, 2009

Appearance: bright gold with crystal light, snowy white mid head. Fine lace. 3+.
Nose: soapy , hoppy , with meadow and hay feel. Clean and fresh. 7-
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied. Quiet soft as it should be, Gentle pale malt work with silky texture, gently hopped. Refreshing ,lighter lager. Proper Helles that is often underappreciated as style.
12oz Bottle, purchased at Half Time - Poughkeepsie, NY. Pours a furious clear pale amber-orange, with a tall clean white finger, lacing well. Aroma is salty and fresh, with a bit of brine, fresh wheat bread, and cracker. Flavors are a bit lesser and quieter. Cold grains, warm hot dog buns, and boozy cereal. This has a slightly soppy character to it, but it’s not bad. Maybe could be a touch tighter and nip hoppier, but it’s palatable. Ends with kind of a distinct juicy chamomile and tangerine twist. Bottle. A fine beer. Pours a very light yellow with a modest white head that subsides quickly. Grassy aroma, with light malts and some earthy hops. Flavor is delicate and on key. Some malty sweetness, followed by a dry and bitter finish. Quite nice. Vir4030 (603) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 27, 2012
Pours a clear gold with a thinnish head from the beer of the month club. Aroma is very lagery and dry. The flavor is not so lagery, which makes it go up in my opinion. Fairly plain, bubbly, and actually a bit refreshing. It’s not bad.
