Poured a lighter golden color. Medium head, good retention. Aroma of fresh grain malts, some citrus hops in there as well. Lite sweetness with a med-light bitterness. Med-light body. Slick texture, slightly creamy. Tastes like a typical pilsner, has a pleasant bitter finish. At first I couldnt taste the alcohol, then it comes through later on. 25th anniversary. Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a yellow-golden color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dry, floral and perfumey. The flavor was dry perfume, windex and pepper with a very bitter and mildly tart and dry undertone with some alcohol showing through. The finish was long, dry and very bitter with lingering perfume and alcohol. Not quite as craptastic as the Kaiser. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2011
On tap at Bocktown. Light floral hop aroma with mild pale malt sweetness, clean nose. Medium dark golden yellow clear, with foamy-creamy white lacing head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays fairly dry with a bit of carbonic bite and big hop bitterness. Decent hop flavor. Big bitter finish and lasting bitter after. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2011
As their 25th Anniversary bottle. Light yellow, white cover. Aroma is grassy hops, toast, alcohol. Taste is the same profile, unfortunately a bit too strong, the Kaiser Pils is much better of course. DiarmaidBHK (4901) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2011
Pours golden from tap with a thin white head. Notes of citrus and pine on the nose. Some hop flavor with a hint of bitterness. Lots of carbonation on the tongue. Finishes clean.
