Consumed from the bottle as part of a sampler case. Measures up to the name "Imperial" and is a worthy companion to Penn’s excellent Kaiser Pils. Hops are well balanced with a clean and fresh taste. ttutony (920) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 4, 2012
Deep yellow with a white head. Floral hop aroma. Rich bready malty palate with a medium-full body. Tmoney99 (14455) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 26, 2012
Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2011
As their 25th Anniversary bottle. Light yellow, white cover. Aroma is grassy hops, toast, alcohol. Taste is the same profile, unfortunately a bit too strong, the Kaiser Pils is much better of course.

bottle from sample case, very nice with a good balance of malt and pils, golden color, nice head, step up from regular pilsner with enough hops DiarmaidBHK (4891) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2011
Pours golden from tap with a thin white head. Notes of citrus and pine on the nose. Some hop flavor with a hint of bitterness. Lots of carbonation on the tongue. Finishes clean. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2011
On tap at Bocktown. Light floral hop aroma with mild pale malt sweetness, clean nose. Medium dark golden yellow clear, with foamy-creamy white lacing head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays fairly dry with a bit of carbonic bite and big hop bitterness. Decent hop flavor. Big bitter finish and lasting bitter after. bth122 (1554) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Poured a lighter golden color. Medium head, good retention. Aroma of fresh grain malts, some citrus hops in there as well. Lite sweetness with a med-light bitterness. Med-light body. Slick texture, slightly creamy. Tastes like a typical pilsner, has a pleasant bitter finish. At first I couldnt taste the alcohol, then it comes through later on. Bomber courtesy of Secret Santa, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a musky wheat sweetness, baby powder, grain, and malt. Taste has a malty sweetness, hop spice, grain, and citrus. Not bad, nice flavors in the taste.
