Pours a clear yellow color with a white soapy head. Aroma of grain, grass, lemon, and hops. Lemon, grass, and grain flavor. Decent body for the style. Good beer. r464 (2370) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 8, 2011
25th Anniversary Imperial Pilsner (22oz bottle). A golden color with a strong whitish head. Somewhat crisp, certainly light and malty. Strong, with a nice bitter finish. kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a small fizzy white head that left some light lacing. The nose is heavy pale malt with a moderate hop level, smells fairly clean. The flavor is not quite as clean as their Kaiser Pils though. There’s a bit of a sweet white grape like note on the finish that mixes with a light soapy note as well. I really prefer their lighter and more crisp lagers. Some long lingering sweetness and moderate alcohol on the finish. Medium bodied and slightly clingy with a bit of stickiness. Meh, I’d pass on a second go around with this one. LinusStick (3506) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2012
A decent beer; very drinkable and light (especially for an 8% beer). Aroma was OK. Light grains, pilsner malt and grass. Pour was a nice clear light gold with a few rising bubbles and a one finger white head. Taste was thin and weak. The grains and grass with straw and sweet light malt were up front but the whole flavor disappeared before the swallow. Light green hoppiness in the background. Light carbonation. Watery and light. Good summertime beer, I guess. FROTHINGSLOSH (8141) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2011
25th anniversary. Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a yellow-golden color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was dry, floral and perfumey. The flavor was dry perfume, windex and pepper with a very bitter and mildly tart and dry undertone with some alcohol showing through. The finish was long, dry and very bitter with lingering perfume and alcohol. Not quite as craptastic as the Kaiser.
