Nutty spicy aroma. Hazelnut and slight coffee flavor. Slightly watered down.
Aroma nuts, caramel,
Appearance brown, cloudy, hazy, tan foam,
Taste medium sweetness,
Palate medium body, creamy,
Overall a creamy beer that I would drink as a dessert. There is almost a vanilla frosting aftertaste that is nice. I would suggest this beer to a friend. thorongil2 (3165) - , Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2017
(Tap) clear, bright reddish amber colour with a small beige head; faint aroma of chocolate liqueur, hazelnut; creamy palate; balanced flavour with a medium long, very light bitter and tart finish FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2016
Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was a bit roasty and malty with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The flavor was strong cinnamon and nutmeg followed by a bit of bread and a hint of dark fruit. Long finish with lingering spices. Medium body. Ok. r464 (2361) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2016
Aroma of dark fruit and malt. Spices, raisin, cherry, caramel. Not too strong, though. Overall not bad for a winter seasonal type of beer. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2016
Had at the source, received in a pint glass.
3.5 A: It’s dark in here, but I think it’s a clear light brown color. Two fingers of creamy tan head. Average retention and a few wisps of lacing are left.
4.0 S: An almost musty sweet nuttiness. Sweet brown sugar with plenty of toastiness and maple syrup.
3.75 T: All of the above flavors but in different proportions. Less sweet than the nose with reasonable complexity.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Bity carbonation with moderate creaminess.
3.75 D: I’m a sucker for brown ales and the maple syrup thing does a good job drawing me in.

Poured from a bottle. Pours a semi-clear mahogany with a thin tan ring. Sweet toffee and roasted malt aroma. Light carbonation. Tastes of caramel, toffee, and candy corn. Smooth, light, and refreshing. Flavors aren’t very bold but not overly sweet either. Similar to a light Dunkel. Not great but not bad. BrettTaylor (778) - Radford, Virginia, USA - DEC 8, 2015
Bottle from Brian - thanks! Pours a clear reddish brown with 1 finger white head. Aroma and taste full of nut notes as advertised. Nice caramel notes present as well. Lightrider (344) - Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Aroma is a thick malt. Taste is a crisp bitter malt. Finish is clean and warm and dry. 60minuteman (1744) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2015
Dark brown pour, some suds. Spice, tree, caramel, molasses, burnt malt. Flavor is the same. A good Christmas blend without being too in your face malty like so many are. A bit minty/herbal in the finish. Nutty too. BeerdedDave (1785) - Beckley, USA - JAN 20, 2015
reddish-brown color; spicy aroma - cinnamon and gingerbread; spicy, malty flavor with notes of cinnamon, caramel, mollasses, and gingerbread; dry, spicy, semi-bitter finish
