Strong hoppy nose, mostly grassy and spicy with a little malt and rye at the end. Dark golden pour with thick white foam. The taste is strongly hoppy up front, bitter and resiny. Medium body with slightly oily texture and medium fizz. The finish tapers off to malty sweet / sour.
Sampled at Pittsburgh Real Ale Festival 2015. Billed as Harvest Rye with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops.

Reddish-brown color with a white head. The aroma is full of rye. The flavor is a bit different. I get a good dose of spicy rye, but that is accompanied by some toffee and caramel malt, pine and grass. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. douglas88 (9188) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Bomber from barley and hops. Pours a dark copper color with a large white head. A sweet caramel nose. A odd sweet flavor of candy, caramel, rye. Earthy. Ok. Butter maybe. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 12, 2013

On tap at the bocktown monaca. Very nice lacing. Rather mild yet bitter flavor, much less annoying than other rye beers. You know, they taste so much like an IPA. Not over the top. Rather flat. Big neggy finish. Not real impresses but at least something new from these guys. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 31, 2012
Draft at mad mex monroeville. This beer does not play well with others not when it spends all its time playing with itself. Pours brown with an inch of foam. Slight pine on the nose. The faint rye I can detect on the to the does not blend well with all those hops. Pass!
