COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A compelling argument for a bigger stocking! It’s the last of Penn Brewery’s Small Batch Brews for 2007. Packaged in a twenty-five ounce bottle with a decorative foil neck and festive velvet embroidered bag, it’s one more present to look forward to this time of year.
At this joyous time of year, do not settle for ordinary beer. You’ve been good. Get what you deserve. Don’t settle for less than the Brewer’s Reserve. 18.5°

Bomber bottle. tastes a lot like regular old St. Nick but really packs a wallop on the alcohol front. A bit sweeter and darker the the low octane version.

Fantastic beer. Give it a try for yourself. The BBA version is one of the best beers I’ve ever had.

2015 Brewers Reserve Bottle. Pours a Dark brown with a thin off white ring of foam. Medium body with light carbonation and plenty of lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and a hint of chocolate. Very smooth creamy texture with a light roasted malt flavor and a semi-sweet taste. Not too thick and not too sweet. Very enjoyable.

Sample at Ericka’s and Nihar’s Holiday Gathering on 12/18/2015. The beer is a dark mahogany color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, dark fruit and caramel. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit, mild hops and a bit of tobacco. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

This poured a lighter brown with a beige head, aroma of caramel toffee and dark fruits. Flavor similar, light grassy, nothing offensive but lacking complexity.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body under a small fizzy beige head that faded to a thin covering. The nose is strongly malty with a heavy caramel and munich malt sweetness. Just a light hint at the 8% alcohol this is packing. The flavor is rather well lagered and smooth with a heavy sweet maltiness. A little bit of an alcoholic kick on the back end. This is surprisingly good actually, plenty of body and not too overly sweet. A nice light, almost roasty note throughout. Full bodied and slightly clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice surprise with this one, these guys do create some nice lagers.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber red, almost brown. Aroma is strong malt sweetness, no hop presence. Taste is smooth, light, not overpowering. Really drinkable. Not a bad beer.
