This German Wheat is probably the best I call to mind having... It’s priced nicely, brewed locally and never a surprise... Been through a case or two and even poured a few at their brewery.. huevos de fuego (3) - Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 3, 2002 does not count
I love this beer! It is as good, or in most cases, better than the German wheats. This could be the best wheat beer in the world. Yum!! DubbelO7 (42) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 4, 2001

Like drinking ’ amber waves of grain ’
Come to Pittsburgh and drink some at the Brewery ! brocker (99) - Salina, Utah, USA - APR 14, 2005
Banana, clove blah, blah, blah. Screw it. This shit is wonderful, and it’s got a good flavor. Very German tasting, if you know your German Weizens.
I had it on tap at the brewery in Pittsburgh, and i’ll be damned if I ever drink a better Hefeweizen. Perfect. Flawless beer.
Went great with weisswurst, and the Pittsburgh Steelers Polka. Amber1 (32) - USA - MAY 2, 2002
This is one of my all time favorite wheat beers. There’s something spicy almost peppery in the aroma that most weiss beers are lacking. Very well done.

This is a true authentic wheat beer. With a very distinctive banana nose, light color and just the right amount of hops. This is an easy choice to pair with any meal or just to have while sitting around aaronh (201) - McMurray, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 27, 2003
This may be my all-time favorite beer (I couldn't believe I hadn't reviewed it yet!). It pours with a wonderful haed, has a beautiful aroma of malt and vanilla, with a crisp, malty taste that reveals quite a lot of yeast character as well. This beer works after you've cut the grass or as a nice summer evening beer. I still drink some now and then in the winter when I find them. Older beers are a little more well rounded without the crispness and a more subdued aroma, but it keeps very well. With 90% of Penn's sales inside of PA, I suspect not many get to try these beers. If you see them, grab 'em. The owner brews beers that remind him of his years in Germany, and seems to do them very, very well.
