COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schwarzbier (shvahrts-beer) is German for "black-beer". Brewed to be a light bodied dark beer with a clean, crisp, refreshing finish. Its well balanced malt character is complimented with a touch of roastiness. Brewed using imported black patent malt and noble hops. Pairs with chunky dark breads, marinated meats such as brisket or German Sauerbraten. Not recommended for cellaring. Serve in a flute or pilsner glass at 45-50deg

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Transparently black, creamy head. Vague plastic aroma Medium sweet and fairly light bodied with clean somewhat rounded mouthfeel. Before warming to near room temperature the flavour is void and lifeless - only some slight molasses are there. As it warms chocolate comes out more. It finishes with low bitterness and a tad of cardboard. Remains a bit sterile and clean throughout.

Very dark brown with a thin head. Cocoa and chocolate in happy abundance. Full body is smooth, rich, and gently roasty and very chocolatey. Complex, balanced, delicious schwarzbier with an off-dry finish.

Radeks bottle. I rally like the style. Not much roast,it is there, dark with a cape of a light brown head. Average mouthfeel. A good lager, you can drink a litre of his and if not share it with others.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Bottle... Post RBSG 08 O-Town/Vero Beach Throwdown Chapter 8... Clear, very dark lager with little to no head. Chocolaty nose. Light to medium-bodied with a thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Well-balanced and a touch chocolaty, but watery and bland. Finishes weak and fairly nondescript. Thanks to mcbackus for providing the bottle!
