This award-winning ale (Dales Food Festival 2013) uses a hop back to create an extremely well balanced beer, filled with the taste of fruit, together with a complementary slight bitterness. Its bright, golden appearance is combined with its hops.

Look: Bright & Golden
Taste: Not your typical blonde which is finally balanced in hops and natural sugars that combine to add a fruity aftertaste.
Smell: Hoppy and oranges
Bitterness (1-5) 2/5
Sweetness (1-5) 3/5

BlackHaddock (7674) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 18, 2016
Hand-pulled half-pint on 9th Sep 2016 in The Washington, Blackpool. Light golden blonde with a slight haze, white topping. decent blend with a semi-sweet nature: oranges and mild malts play together in a fairly subtle tasting beer with a light bitterness in it’s finish.

Cask @ Booth Wood Inn, Rishworth. Hazy golden-blonde with a creamy head. Has an English fruitiness, slightly stewed in this respect, but not by much. Has a bitterness in its finish.

cgarvieuk (25987) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 17, 2014
Cask at the egham festival... Light golden hazy amber... Small white head... Apple and lemon nose... Juicy fruits... Soft lemon... Light dry apple... Not working

Beese (3210) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2013
Cask at The Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a murky golden colour with a halo of white head. Aroma of yeast, cooked fruit and some straw. Flavours were lacking and what there was seemed rather wort-like. Slight funk and wet grass in there. Not in good condition.

jamesie1857 (1980) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2013
On cask @ Uxbridge Arms, Chasetown - Straw coloured body with white head. A bit doughy on the nose, yeast and malt in there with a fragrant floral hop in the back. Somewhat thinnish on the palate, and a bit dull. Nothing special, but a good one to break up the dark beers.

JorgeLee (2234) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2012
Cask in the Clarence, W1. Darkish, more golden than truly blonde. This was to be a fairly unremarkable golden ale, nothing wrong with it but nothing amazing either. Basically I like pale golden ales to be either bitingly dry and austere or to have a fresh juicy citrus hop character. This was kind of middle of the road, a bit sweet and slightly fruity.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Princess Of Wales London 30/10/12. No, not your typical blonde. Not even blonde in colour. Sweet and fruity nose. Sugars and hops. Thin and sweetish in the mouth. Reasonable but not a blonde ale.
