I think all republicans should have to drink this because, according to the can, it was made since 1863 which was when we had our first republican president, Abraham Lincoln. He created the first federal income tax and got shot in the head and these two facts are more than just tangentially related. In any case, this is a damn solid NA beer. Its watery and a bit metallic but I will be damned if it doesn’t have a tiny touch of actual malt character and some lemony hops going on. I’d believe this was like three percent alcohol if you told me. Not fucken bad! Also, the current republican president can eat shit. shrubber85 (11448) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 7, 2017
Can. Light barley wort and cardboard aroma. Golden yellow with moderate white head. Very lightly sweet barley malt with hint of straw flavor. No body. This is the beer for you if you want mineral water with a hint of beer. crossovert (13078) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 18, 2017
Blind tasted with 2 other NA beers. Beers were: 1. O’Douls Amber 2. Coors Non-Alcoholic 3.
Penns Best NA. All 3 raters rated the beers 213.

355ml can, appears to be brewed at genesee. Clear golden pour. aroma is floral and cascade hops. Wooo a NA with at least a smidge of hops. But it really is not much. Flavor is a lightly hopped metallic flowery N/A.
Post tasting thoughts:
It is like 2$ a 6 pack and is not the worst N/A.. take it or leave it...
Can. Pours clear, wan yellow with a frothy porcelain head. And it’s downhill from there. Aroma is - hello? Earth to aroma! I can’t get a blamed thing. Flavor is barely malty - this tastes like heavily watered-down macro-brewed swill. I could get tipsy faster drinking Mountain Dew. Mouthfeel is indistinguishable from water. Well, the can was only 50 cents, and I had to give it a fair shake. slowrunner77 (12139) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 2014
not anywhere near the worst pale lager i’ve had, but not any good either. at 2.49 per sixer...why not?"

Can at SlutFest 2011 on 04/23/2011. Pale straw aroma with a small fizzy white head. Very faint malt aroma. Faint malt aroma on a watery background. Light body with moderate carbonation. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Chugged on camera after 50 pushups @ home for RBSH. I’m a loser. Pale golden pour with a white head and lots of fizz. Nose is grainy and bland, pretty watery. Corn and slight vegetables. Tastes mostly like seltzer water. Some hints of grain and corn, grass, and a touch of vegetables. tone77 (256) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Has a light golden color, very carbonated. Smell is mild, some corn. Taste is weak, beer flavored water. Overall not much enjoyment from this beer. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Can into Lost Abbey stemware. First NA tick in a long while. Pours with a clear, somewhat surprisingly deep yellow to golden hued body with a equally surprising, decent white head that even leaves a bit of lace. Maybe it isn’t as adjunct laden as some others. Aromas appear to back it up as all malt, bready, grainy, mild DMS, some sugary melon notes, bready. Light yeast esters that are odd for a lager, no sulfur though. No hops to speak of on the nose. Not horrible on the flavors, but not good: bready, malty, saw dust, uric acid, DMS and quite a bit of husky tannin. Saw dust. Thin and watery with a carbonic bite. Mild cardboard. Honestly, not nearly as bad as expected. Seems to be all malt (granted cheap, husky 6 row). No hop flavors detected. Light salinity. Watery and husky overall. madvike (3271) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Can graciously bonused by Brigadier...thanks Nathan! - Well if this is Penn’s Best, I’d hate to see Penn’s Worst...zing! Seriously though, this wasn’t the abortion that I thought it’d be. It tastes like mineral water with a bit of malty sweetness and a pleasant metallic finish. That’s about it. I have a hard time rating this as a beer because there are barely any discernible beery qualities here. Oh well...at least it doesn’t taste like wolf pussy.
