Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, mocha, coffee and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee, dried fruit and cocoa with a smooth dry lingering roasty fruity finish.

Pours a nice dark color with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate/roasted malts and kind of fruity? Taste was of roasted malt and some coffee and kind of floral taste.

On tap at brew pub. Roasty vanilla and chocolate fudge aroma with some sweet hazelnut coffee. Opaque black under a persistent, lacy, tan flannel blanket. Sweet and nutty roasted barley with vanilla and coffee accents. Dry chocolate fudge in the finish. Moderate bitterness, not sour like other dry stouts. Light body, moderate carbonation, dry.

on tap @ Pensacola Bay / FL --- Opaque black/brown color, smooth beige head, curtain of lace. Taste is full-bodied malt with coffee. It moves very smoothly through a barely carbed swallow to a finish that shows little bittering other than the coffee. Potential here, but not quite in this version.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brown with creamy beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, and vanilla. Medium mouth, rich, similar flavors to nose, light bitterness, very nice.

Black color with very foamy head Poured from draft at Pensacola Bay Brewery two weeks ago, rating from notes now. Nutty flavor. Dry beer with a pretty bitter finish. Not my favorite but very drinkable.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2014 Sample from tap at brewpub. Clear dark brown with tanned head. Smell is sweet malty with roasted, coffee and chocolate. Taste is sweet malty with roasted tones not balanced with caramel sweetness. Sweet with low bitterness and low carbonation.

Rated from notes taken 11 Sep 2013 -- On tap at Hopjacks in Pensacola. A very solid session stout. Only critique is I like my stouts heavier, but like I said this is a good session stout.

Draft - Dark roast and chocolate. Jet black with a thin brown head. Chocolate and roast malts. A little thin in flavor, but OK.
