COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A light, golden, hoppy session bitter, the permanent stable-mate on the Star bar to Crowlas Bitter. The ninth brew from the pub’s brewery, hence the name. Fuggles and Pilgrim go into the boil with pale ale malt, with Perle and Amarillo hop added later.

Cask Stillage at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, Stoke on Trent 22/10/2010 Floral hop aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy and a little fruity with a hint of bitterness in a dry malt finish.

Golden. Nice bubbly head. Bright citrusy American (amarillo?) nose. Nice bitterness - citrus, tropical fruit. Refreshing, slightly creamy. Really drinkable.

Cask @ brewpub (Star Inn). Bright gold, glassy with good lace. Bright hoppy aroma. Great nutty malt character carries the earthy, kind hops. Supremely balanced and quaffable with great herbal bitterness at the finish. Liked it more and more each time. One of the best pints in Cornwall for sure.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, day 2, on 1 May 2009. Looks good - very pale. Good condition. Not much aroma. Clean and fresh. Some citrus. Not much else going on. Decent enough.

Cask, Peterborough Fest 10. Clear gold with a thin foam. Aromas are citrus with grain and peppery grapefruit. Flavours are biscuit malts with cereal and pithy grapefruit. Clean on the palate but lacks depth.

Cask handpull at the brewpub. Bright straw frilling with lace. Pungent sweet ganja and mandarin aroma: 8. Silky palate wafting with fresh mandarin and lychee hoppiness; grass, ganja and vanilla. Leafy, juicy and fresh. Lingers with cashew. Excellent- easily the pick of my Cornish trip.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Clear pale gold, lasting thin white head. Rather a better than average golden ale. Good conditon. Nice bite to it on the finish.
