COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Style India Pale Ale. We used American base malt with a small addition of Crystal malt to give this beer an orange hue. Hopped exclusively with Simcoe hops giving this beer a tropical flavor and aroma. Passion fruit and grapefruit dominate the flavor and aroma characters. Brewed one year after our very first brew day and released one year after our first delivery day, this beer is also known as our 1st Anniversary IPA.

Rated on 11-12-2017. Bottle. The appearance is a small thick khaki head that is mostly lasting, slightly hazy orange body, fizzy, lively, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is light citrus hops, subtle tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange, malt, and caramel. The flavor is light-medium bitterness, tropical fruit, grapefruit, earthy, malt, caramel, and lightly sweet. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer has a moderate bitter lingering finish and aftertaste. It is easy drinking and a beer that I would drink again.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber color, spongy head. Smell is a bit subdued, just a trace of tropical fruit. Taste is actually focused on the malt, with a side of mainly hop bitterness. This bottle is from October, so perhaps I’m not catching it at its freshest. Plenty of basic hop bitterness, and then there’s some note of Simcoe. It’s pretty nice, but it shows the limitations of a single hop beer.

Bottle. The pour is amber in color. The aroma has light hops. The taste has subtle bitterness to it, not a ton of flavor, but a good drinking ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at GTMW 2015, pours a clear copper with an off white head and lots of lacing in the glass, the aroma has a slight touch of citrus at first with quite a bit of sweetness too, the flavor has a sweeter malt front end with a bitter and citrus finish, kind of meh.

This is one of the better beers that I have had from People’s. A nice sweet and hoppy flavor with a wet finish. Good hops throughout. A little citrus and lemon.

3oz on tap Twenty Tap. Clear red orange color. Thin bubbly off-white head. Ridges and ropes of lace. Looks solid. Awesome tropical fruit kind of piney and spicy citrusy aroma. Good biscuity malt. Moderate-plus bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Medium-plus body, kind of bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Awesome tropical fruity hoppy IPA. Great malt, great hop. I really enjoyed it, very complex.
