Molasses and malty aroma. Dark brown color with small lacing and carbonation when poured. Flavor is molasses, 6 malt blend, chocolate, and some booze. Slightly bitter after taste. Solid imperial, would have again.

Taste: smooth smokey tobacco notes, molasses, roasted complex mix of 6 malts, woody and slight bitter at finish. Same with the nose. Black, opaque, smaller tan head with very delicate lace. Medium/Full body. 86 IBUs jkwood04 (5452) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 9, 2014
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some molasses, coffee and chocolate, hints of dark fruits, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Thicker texture. A solid beer. djd07 (15282) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 1, 2014
Bottle thanks to Nick. Pours a cloudy brown with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malt, and booze. Light roast, oak, booze. Good. olr1984 (1500) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 29, 2014

Draft to snifter at People’s. Looks good; pitch black with tan lacing. Smells good too; sweet, roasty, and malty. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Could be a little more viscous, but still damn good beer. Block (2894) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - APR 30, 2012
Batch 100 at the brewery. A black beer with a small brown head. Aroma is slightly smokey, just a touch of coffee, and dark chocolate. Flavor is mild, even despite the 9% ABV. The alcohol is masked really well. Flavor is made up mostly of dark chocolate and caramel with a little roastedness. Balanced very well with the hops leaving this beer not too sweet and not too dry.
