COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of the most popular beers we brew; this is our version of a traditional brown ale. A truly tasty beer, Farmer Brown is low in bitterness with a smooth and malty finish. Like its namesake, it’s outstanding in it’s field!

Dark color with a decent size head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor is more subdued than I expected. Light coffee tones, moderatly sweet and malty, with nutty tones.

Bottle. Pours black with a moderate tan head. Bubbles that coat the glass. Aroma of cherries, nuts, and cotton candy. Taste was sweet but not overwhelming with a nutty malty backbone. Thick mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2011 22 oz bottle shared by AirForceHops. Deep brown like lacquered wood. Light lacing produced from a very thin layer of off white head. Aroma and taste are almost identical. Molasses, Malt and light nuttiness. Light in body with lots of favor. A very tasty and well done Brown Ale. I would drink this any day of the week.

Just ok. Head fades nearly immediately. Pretty bland taste. Lots of malt and not much else.

Not the usual smooth brown ale that I have had before. Pours quite dark with little head. Malty and has some bitterness. Not my favorite brown ale.

Ugh! It smelled like vinegar... it tasted like vinegar but with a very very watery mouthfeel. Still better than any bud product tho.

Dare I say this is undercarbonated? Pours with no head. Sweet, heavy in body. Nice toasty malt flavor, but cant get over how sweet it is.

22 ounce bottle. Not a bad brown ale for a chilly and dark autumn afternoon. While brown ales are not among my favorite types of beer, this one is a commendable representation of the category. Nice dark color, white frothy head, and a malty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Très ordinaire. Je n’ai pas terminé la bouteille et la personne avec qui je l’ai partagée n’a pas terminé son verre. Décente sans plus.

A decent example of an American Brown Ale of which there are very few. Low IBU is sufficient to balance the mild malt sweetness. Taste does not linger into the next sip.
