750mL bottle, sent from tstockstrom (thanks Chuck), pours a dark purple, almost like grape juice, with some bubbles for a head. Aroma of black currants, some Belgian candied sugar, and some lightly tart grapes. Flavour is lightly tart, with black currant, some mild candied sweetness, and grapes. Lightly tart and very dark fruity. ABV is no where to be detected. Good fruit beer - I’m just not a big fan of black currants. jtclockwork (16857) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 14, 2012

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dark brown with a slight tan head. Aromas of burnt malt, not too burnt, chocolate and berry jam. Med+ body. Flavor is dark berry, chocolate, sourish, dark malt. Took a moment to slide into this, but (except for a peanut butter note that just popped up) this is quite a production. Ends rather sour currant with chocolate and earthy notes.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark ruby color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet dark fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet dark fruit flavor and a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Good after dinner with a cigar brew that exceeded my expectations. Drake (14045) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 18, 2013

Bottle at a tasting at Paul’s. Pours a ruby tinged brown with a thin white head. Fruity, dark plum and prune notes, toffee and some touches of dark sticky caramel and old milk. Medium bodied, sweet and oxidized. Malty and full of plums and prunes. Malty, sweet, roast and a touch more prune on the finish. Sweet on the end. Interesting but a bit old.
