Murky brown pond water pour. Pillowy, two-finger eggshell head. An apple-pear blend on the nose with spicy yeast notes. Taste is a fantastic sequence of yeast up front, big pear in the middle with the sage bringing great spice on the end. Works really well. Probably a bit too sweet for my liking, but a really cool beer.
Aged 3.5 years. Hazy deep golden hue with a tight foamy white head. Rich eatery and fruity pear and Belgian dusty nose with a herbal undertone. Crisp bright flavor that features pear and semisweet Belgian gold malt and a funny little saison-esque yeast ester that leaves the beer herbal and dryish. Pour on tap at Tap and Handle, hazy orange-brown pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big pear, peach, some white grape into some herbal, rosemary, sage notes with a hint of grass, slight orange into a bit of biscuit and bread. Taste was a mix of biscuit, bread, some herbal, grassy notes into a bit of pear, white grape, finishing herbal, slightly sweet. Pretty cool. A: Cloudy browned-yellow with a huge foamy white head. Lacing.
N: Pear, sage, lemon, grapefruit, grain, peppercorn, green apple, coriander, lavender, orange blossom, and funk.
T: Sour, bit of sweetness, then spicy.
M: Fluffy, light mouthfeel. Alcohol is not appreciable here, which is good.

Bottle thanks to Alemax. Pours hazy copper gold with fine white head, settles in minutes with a bit of pillowy lace. Aroma is fruity and herbal, pear and banana, sage, fruity sweet yeast, floral esters. Flavor is sweet and fruity up front, big pear, with an herbal finish and lightly bitter aftertaste. The alcohol is mildly present in the finish, could be brought down a point or two. Moderate carbonation, medium body, lightly juicy texture, lightly dry finish.

750 ml bottle shared by phaleslu early December 2013. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a large white head. The aroma and flavor have pear juice, doughy yeast, herbal and floral notes where the sage comes in, citrus, mild funk, sweet malty notes. Lighter bodied, with no sign of the 9.3%. Interesting beer. Well, this certainly has an unusual combination of flavors. While, not unpleasant and even interesting, it's not what I'm looking for in a beer.

Tap at Roasthouse Pub. Pours lightly hazy gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is biscuit and Pils malt, earthy hops, sage, pears, and light Acetaldehyde notes. Flavor is sweet malt, pears and sage, Acetaldehyde, vinegar spicy hops and light bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.
