Bottled at TNOD(U)RBSG2016. Black with beige head. Aroma of After Eight. Sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Tastes like After Eight. Nothing else. Warming bitter finish. Depressing. Do beer drinkers really prefer beers that taste like cheap candy?

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and has modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark chocolate laden malts, some chocolate cream. After Eight dark chocolate mint. Smooth finish leaves a nice minty linger. Works well, very drinkable.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from Beergium. Pours oily black with a creamy, beige head. The nose has good roast, baking cocoa, cool mint. Medium sweet flavour with York peppermint patties, more baking cocoa, mild earth bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming in the finish, more many minty cocoa, baking cocoa, mellow bitterness. Pretty good balance. Big mint character. Really fun stuff.

Danish tasting session; brewed 3/2013
Black color with small head. Aroma of After Eight with some herbal, sage accent. Strong body; there is a moderate residual sweetness, but balanced by strong alcohol and bitterness; the roasted malt flavor is strong too, with evident chocolate and mint flavor, pungent; a bit ashy in the end, with herbal tones, and Fernet Branca.
Weird, but interesting.
