On tap at Brisge St Louis. Semi sweet. Cocoa. Dark body. Over all pretty basic. Maybe too subtle. kaser (6367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Chocolate is mild. Has a smoky and cigarette after taste to it. Not a big fan but it isn't hard to drink. Draft pour at the bridge in St. Louis Dogbrick (13564) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 29, 2014
Sample at Kurtkeller 019: Choco-tastic 02 on 12/27/2014. This beer pours a clear brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and green peas. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy malt, cocoa and more green pea. The finish is sweet with a chocolatey and slightly vegetal aftertaste. Would be better minus the off flavor, decent overall. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUL 13, 2014

Taste on tap at Bailey’s Range during RBSG. Red brown color. Minimal off-white head. Interesting milk chocolate aroma. Hint of dark fruit. Moderate sweet taste. Medium body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Alright, solid chocolate ale. Interesting stuff. jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Draft at Baileys. Pours brown with no head. Nose/taste of earth and cheap chocolate. Medium body. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2014
Draft on tap at The Bridge (St Louis, MO). Pours a deeper brownish copper pour, gentle deeper orange brown glow with frothy tannish head. Decent ring and laces well enough overall. Aromas are touches of cocoa nib and gentle brown malt, toffee and toast, a faint waft of vanilla. Gentle fruity malts, a bit of brown bread and biscuits. Mellow caramel, oak and gentle earthiness. Initial is medium bodied, touches of caramel, cocoa nib and a bit of toffee. A bit of caramello, earth. A bit of earth, toffee and soil. Faint smokiness the backend has some chocolate and a bit of sweetness. A bit sweet and messy, I though this would have more nib and roast action whereas this fell into a bit of a mushy sweet Amber area with an odd earthy feel. Meh. brokensail (16631) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 22, 2014
On tap @ The Bridge. Light brown color with a small khaki head. Tons of cocoa powder aroma. Nice milk chocolate, too. Hints of dark fruit and some vanilla creaminess. There’s a nice dark chocolate and cocoa powder flavor. Creamy vanilla and perhaps milk sugar. Good toffee malt character. Subtle fruit. Really tastes like a piece of chocolate. I guess I’m the only one that liked this one. deyholla (12038) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Sampled from the tap at the Bridge. Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy chocolate with some dark grains with a hint of light roast. Flavor is a bit thin with roasted malts with a slight chocolate bite.
